Access Topic Tree Attribute of Files

I'm working on a Galleria image gallery implementation and would like to use the Topic Tree schema for my gallery categories. I created a Topic Tree, added a few child Topics to it, and then associated the new Topic Tree as an attribute of files in the File Manager.
Is there a nice way to access this attribute array for each file in the collection that the block returns?
