Pretty URLs and Admin Does Not Work Right - Possibly Solved
Permalink
In the admin page when I select the gear icon or the slider icon used to configure the site and c5, the side panels open but there's nothing there - the panels are blank, also I cannot logout of admin, I get an error message if I do that. It all starts when I check pretty URLS, I save that choice and then it seems the problem begins, then I use search and find the pretty URL config and uncheck pretty URLS and things return to normal.
My location for C5 on the server is in: /var/www/html/concrete5.
I have turned off all caching I know of turned off, I heard that helps while you create the site.
I think the problem is related to the pretty URL option. Help appreciated. Using 5.7.5.9
Update, I also tried sudo a2enmod rewrite and the restart and not sure if it's related but I can get to the site but cannot login to admin, then tried sudo a2dismod rewrite and still cannot login to admin.
Appreciated help, not experienced with pretty urls or mod_rewrite but think that's the problem area. It's a local server and I have access to command line too...
Thanks

This happened to me when I imported a database that was saved without pretty URLs into a site for which pretty URLs had been activated (or possibly vice versa). You probably didn't do that, but just in case...
This helped me:

I only added the entry they cited to 000-default.conf.
And, I think (so far) pretty urls works now.
