All Child Pages Cannot Be Viewed by Public

I am perplexed. I am able to login and edit and navigate the site with no issue. However, when I sign out and try to go to any child page (including top-level), I am only taken back to the index page.
I triple checked the permissions, and everything is set to be viewed by guests / the public.
Not sure what's going on here. Ideas?
