Blocks not displaying in edit mode in sidebar

Hi

I have an out of the box installation of 5.7.2 for the purpose of training customers for editing in 5.7.2.

I have created a user group with full permissions for editing the site, but with restricted permissions on the Dashboard side. To get these permissions I checked the box to edit the home page and it has replicated through ok.

When I go to the site logged in as a user on this new user group and click on the option to add a block, the side bar appears but no blocks appear under the block groups. I have attached a picture to show this.

I then replicated the main administrator permissions in the dashboard to see if that made a difference and it doesn't, still not showing the blocks.

Any advice please on where I am going wrong?

hi,
if you log in as the site super admin do you see the block types as per usual?

if you go to the backend of your site and go to:

dashboard -> Stacks & Blocks -> Bllock & Stack Permissions what does it show in there under add block and add stack?

Awesome! Thanks AndyJ, that sorted it.

Maybe need to have it as a given that any user will need to add blocks and stacks and set it so by default these permissions are set 'on' when a new user or group is added?

i tried to add this permission to the user but still don't see the core blocks in the sidebar but i can see and add custom blocks in sidebar
