broken base_url

I've got a site running 5.7.3.x that whenever you add content to any page, create a hyperlink with the WYSIWYG editor the link becomeshttp://http//base_url. Please notice the extra http// with no colon :-/

Anyone have any ideas where I might remedy this? Is it a bug?

Test it again once you have updated to 5.7.4, which will be released very soon. A lot of work has been done on URL handling and Redactor.

Well...that's hardly ideal since the site is presently broken AND non-functional--but I'd like to add some more to the report. When you look at the HTML in the WYSIWYG editor-- the inline linking tool in the backend created the links to look like "href="http://{CCM:BASE_URL}/pretty-link".

I went in and manually edited them all to look like this, "href="http://64.182.224.220/~client_directory/pretty-link/", saved the edits and open the window back up and they read like this, "href="{CCM:BASE_URL}/pretty-link/"

Notice the missing extra http://?

Where does this come from and can we get a patch prior to release of the updated 5.7.4?

You can install the 5.7.4RC2 (release candidate): http://www.concrete5.org/download_file/-/view/78080/...
