Full page cache for pages with restricted permissions?

It seems that pages with viewing permissions for registered users only (set by advanced permissions), are not getting cached even when full page cache is enabled.
1) Is that the correct behavior?
2) If yes, is there a configuration option to get pages cached anyway, regardless of permission settings?
