Can someone tell me!! about auto Nav

If i choose a installation with 5.7.3.1 with an empty site... and after done. Go back to edit and shall put auto nav ( elemental theme) in the nav on top.. the nav and menyu be Vertical, and theres is no way i find to do it horisontal as in the elemental theme if you install wit a full site??? Is there no way to get it horisontal...?????? Please someone.. tell me!!!!
