Can't upload files through file manager Concrete 5.7 and 5.8

Hi,

I am not sort of able to upload files through the file manager. Error message: An image could not be created from the given input. I can see the image in file manager but the thumbnails are not viewable. When i try to insert an image from the block the images are not viewable at all, they are missing in file manager. Very strange.

I had this issue since i migrated from my local machine to the host server, i hat to rename all the tables from lower to uppercase in order to get it running and it worked but the only problem was the file manager.

I thought it will get fixed when i upgate to concrete 5.7.5.8 but now i have it running but the problem is still present.

Thanks in advance for your support on this one.

Cheers,
erminos

Have you checked permissions on the /application/files directory and all sub directories of that are writable by the server?

Hi hutman, thanks for replying.

Yes the /files directory and the sub directories are writable by the server it makes no difference.

Have you looked at your server error logs and see if there are any PHP errors being generated before this C5 error comes up?

I couldn't find nothing major. There was an error in manualnav but it is not related to this issue i guess, i have deleted the block anyway. Now i am getting the error message: Out of memory (allocated 33030144) (tried to allocate 7680001 bytes).

I have increased the memory to memory_limit = 256M it doesn't help.
