Concrete 5.7 updates - no updates available.
My site version: 5.7.2.1.
There is no updates available when I check for updates. 5.7.3 is available now, so why do I not get this upgrade to appear and then install?
P.S. I love Concrete5, but really need this update...
Meanwhile...
I found this previous answer to download manually and put in the \updates folder.
Is this a manual download step in 5.7?
Will this be automated eventually so when the core needs updates it will automatically detect, download, and install? I might be dreaming, but I thought 5.6 did this.

The automatic updater is usually a few days behind the official release.
Aha! Then the update to 5.7.3 should be automatic eventually...
5.7.3 was released on the 19th December, and it's now the 28th, yet still no sign of it in the 5.7.2.1 "Update Concrete5" in the Dashboard. I'm not mentioning this because I am impatient, but simply to ensure that nothing has "gone wrong" on my site. (One must expect things to go a little slower at this time of year.)
I saw in the release notes for 5.7.3 that there was a bug fix for the package updates. I uploaded the 5.7.3 .zip package to the ../updates folder and then updated successfully. This may require a manual upgrade.
My version of 5.7.2.1 for some reason seems to think the next available update for c5 is 5.6.3.3, which would explain why it's not automatically trying to update. Not sure why that is.
