Content Block (Redactor) Internal Page Links
Permalink
Within an Auto Nav or Page List block, links to internal pages appear as...
http://mydomain.com/index.php/my-url-slug...
...whereas links created in Redactor appear as...
http://mydomain.com/index.php?cID=152...
Why? Is this by design?
Thanks,
-Steve

i'm also confused about this.
after completing a site i moved the dev-site to the clients server and the links created in content blocks point still to my dev-server. this is annoying. i had to relink everything created in content blocks. first i thought it was a mistake done by the editor at my clients firm. but it turns out the editor is not the culprit.
not sure if that is the same issue.
thanks

That may be the cache.
As a general rule when moving sites, turn off pretty urls, turn off all caching, clear the cache, then make the copy/move, then turn it all on again.

that is exactly how i did it. everthing works fine. only links to internal pages in content blocks map to our server, - they're absolute links. how do i avoid that next time?
Which version of C5.7 are you using?
i'using 5.7.5.2 on a tailored "elemental" theme. in the meantime it turns out, that new links set within redactor are fine. we had to change only the links which were ported to the new server.
I asked because I'm pretty sure the issue cropped up for me in a pre-5.7.5.2 release. It seems to be resolved for Content blocks in C5.7.5.2+ (although there's an issue with Feature blocks storing the full URL in the DB).

shotster
after your msg i checked again. our dev version was 7.4, updated to 5.7.1 and transfered to a fresh build 5.7.2 on the client server. that could have been the problem.
thx. blink.

Hi,
I am noticing the same behaviour using the Image Slider block. Links in the "description" field are stored as absolute with the ID as the OP said.
Using version 5.7.5.2.
Any ideas?

That doesn't seem right. Can anyone else confirm this?
