Date Navigation not working with 5.7.

Does anyone know a work around with the Date Navigation block with the concrete 5.7 release. The block seems to create links for a specific month and only then links to pages at or below the page that the block is located - which is nothing.

I would like the block to actually list the pages published under a specific month, instead of just a "month" link, and have the ability to define which page the child pages will be displayed.

I am using this block as a universal block on a specific page type - to create a blog.

I am also having a similar issue with the next previous block - it's only pulling information form the child-pages that the block exists. There is no option to dictate which parent page the child pages should appear?

Please advise???
