How do I add a Topic attribute to a problog post

I am using problog of 5.7.4.2.

In my Tips [System Settings->Attributes->Topcis] I have my Topic Tree called "Shows" with Categories and Topics

In my [Pages & Themes -> Page Types -> ProBlog Post -> Edit Form], under "Post Options" I have "Blog Category" and "Blog Topics"

In my [Pages & Themes -> Page Types -> ProBlog Post -> Attributes] I have "Post Options" I have "Blog Category" and "Blog Topics" . I have flagged the "Blog Topics" as required.

When I add a problog post using the admin "add page" in the header bar I have the expected fields, which includes the "Blog Category" and "Blog Topics".

I fill out the fields and select a topic (for reasons I can not understand, Blog Category always says "** None", followed by a "Add Another Option", which I have no clue what that does)

I click "Publish", and I get the error
The fields "Blog Topics" is required".

ok, so if I then add a post using the [Dashboard->Problog->Add/Edit], which is an alternative way to enter a post, I have 5 tabs, INFO, POST, OPTION, META, OPTIMIZE. But in none of them is there a Blog Topic attribute to set. There IS a Blog Category, with the same "**None"/Add Another Options stuff

Q: How do I add a Topic attribute to a problog post

Other weirdness...

If I add a problog post from the Add Page admin header option, it does not get saved under the archive date folders, but directly under the BLOG page (Home/Blogpage/postname), and therefore does not showup in the archives. If I add it via the dashboard, it get's stored under (for example Home/Blogpage/2015/05/postname)... So, this this makes the "Add Problog Page" under Add Page unusable/broken.

Lastly...

in thehttp://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/problog1/how-do-i-do-x/... page, there is section called "How do I create sub-category blog sections?". The first line says

under your parent blog page, add category pages as needed.

I have no idea what this means or how to do it. "Under" means... what? create a new page? No, because there is no "new category" option "under" and page. Does "under" refer to some attribute of the page? I can't seem to find and "/add/new category" option for a page. Anyone have any idea what exactly they were referring to?

ProBlog is a commercial add-on. Have you asked the developer?

yes, but I asked her as it may be of benefit to others, and others may have had this experience and found a solution. If ProBlog responds with an answer I will post her
