Icons won't show in normal view.

I have added icons throughout my page text that show fine when editing, but disappear when editing is turn off. Any idea why?
They are probably part of the dashboard css, so not loaded when you are not logged in.
Hi JohntheFish-
Thanks for the quick reply. I created groups of folders with icons to
spruce up the pages. I placed the folders and images in the
"concrete5\images" folder. Using the <html> blocks I added content with
paths to the images. I am logged in as the admin when writing and viewing
these pages. The text reads fine, but the "broken image" icon shows up.
I've changed my paths a few times just to test, but nothing. I have also
set permission so that one MUST login to view the site. Would the
dashboard css affect the body of a page? I just assumed all pages were
rendered singularly at the time they were called. The parts of a page
might load in pieces, but they wouldn't affect each other.
Should I be calling them or loading them another way?
Thanks for the help.

In that case my previous reply is completely misdirected
The likely cause here is that the path to the images is not stable between when you are editing the page and when you are just viewing it.
As these are image files, you can upload them into the file manager, add them to a set called 'my icons' (or whatever you like) and use them as you would any other image from the file manager in image or content blocks. That way, c5 will take care of any path requirements.

Hello JohntheFish,
Thanks for the information. I will try it as soon as:
The file manger in ver. 5.3.7.1 works and allows files to be uploaded (my
other problem listed here)
or
I find a way to move to ver 5.4 without breaking all the work I've already
done.
Thanks for the help.
Have a great day!
