Manual Migration - Simple?

Sorry if this has been asked before but I'd like to know the best way to migrate a 5.6 site to 5.7. I know there are no official migration tools so are there other options?

I have a super simple site with a very simple template with no add-ons. It's basically all content.

Any help is much appreciated.

If it's that simple, you are probably best off to copy/paste the content from your browser into a text editor.

You might also need to download any files from the existing site file manager, and upload them to the new site file manager.

Any particular reason you need to use 5.7?

Thanks for getting back. I could copy and paste the pages - the issue is, there are around 100 and it would be a very time consuming process.

To be honest, I'm quite happy with 5.6. My only concern is that I will 'have' to update at some point in the future when 5.6 is no longer supported.

Version 5.6 will be supported by the community for the near future. For how long, it is usually said to be "at least a year". This seems to be a floating date that continues to be extended.

If you are happy with 5.6, I wouldn't be in a rush to upgrade. I say this because there are discussions of how to create tools to support migration. By the time 5.6 support truly does end, it seems likely that some type of migration tools will be available.

This is the discussion on GitHub:
"Import & Export Updates. Content Migration and Import Overhaul for 5.6 & 5.7. #1991"
https://github.com/concrete5/concrete5/issues/1991...

It would not hurt if people added a comment to the GitHub discussion to show their interest, contribute ideas, and offer to help.
