Page defaults: How do I edit composer-based content of a page?

Since "page defaults" blocks get disconnected if you edit them on a page - how do I edit the content part of a composer-based (Open in composer? option when adding a page) content block?

As it's page-related, I was expecting it to be available from within the sitemap but there doesn't seem to be such an option.

On the front end if you go to the page and click the gear icon in the upper left, there is an option there for "Composer" which will let you edit those items.
