Problem trying to update to latest version
Permalink
Hi,
Each time I try to update from 5.7.5.8 to 5.7.5.9 I get the following error message:
"The directory /home2/wayne/public_html/northernbeachesmusicfestival.org/updates/concrete5.7.5.9_remote_updater already exists. Perhaps this item has already been installed."
Why isn't Concrete 5 not recognising the downloaded update and allowing me to install it?

Did you ever try this update before and have it crash before it was complete? What happens if you delete the "concrete5.7.5.9_remote_updater" folder from the root/updates' folder?
Thanks for that Michael . . . I followed your suggestion and now I am able to download the update! :-)
However, I now have a new problem in that I am presented with the following dire warning!
"! Update strongly discouraged. See notices for more information."
However, as you can see from the attached screen dump, there are no 'notices' and, furthermore, all of my add-ons seem to be compatible.
So why is the update being "strongly discouraged"?
What should I do? :-(

I would not worry. You can quickly go back to your previous version if things don't go well.
