simple blog questions

I know the answer to this will be a head-slapper for me, but I must ask as I am having no luck discovering it on my own...

I have set up a blog, and I have Blog Category as an option, but it always says "** None". Where to I define the category tree (already setup) that I want it to use?

I also have Blog Topics as an option in the template definition but it does not appear anywhere in the post options when I add/edit a post. Does this depend on the categories be defined?

Lastly, just beneath the "Blog Category" selector is a link that says "Add Another Option". When I click it an empty text field appears with a red button (no text) on the right. What IS this? What would I put in there? What is an "option" in this context, and why is it associated with the Category?

Thanks

Could you try to describe an example of your category tree.

I think that I read somewhere that you can't use categories directly. You have to have some topics under the categories. But an example would help a lot...

Thanks. That answers one question I had regarding categories. But the bigger issue remains. I just switched to ProBlog, but this seems to have even more issues :( See -> http://www.concrete5.org/index.php?cID=741998...

My tree is super simple. see attached. I have tried various versions... cats with no topics, topics with no cats, sub cats/tops, etc.

Sorry to hear you have problems. But help with ProBlog is not something I can do. We are actually developing our own blog package (or converting our version 5.6 C5DK blog package) to 5.7. And that will not be finished before a 3 week time frame. We will not put in to the marketplace before it's bug free (policy).
