Topics getting capitalized unwanted

I would like to display my topics as i type them in the attribute. They all get capitalized right now.
Does someone know what code can i change to stop this capitalization of the text?

Can you provide a link to your page?

The list on the right of the page athttp://aha.hutspott.nl/nl/actueel...
This is a non-customized topic-list block. All words in the list get capitalized as you can see.

The first topic is listed as 'Verkeer En Transport',
this line was entered as 'Verkeer en Transport' (note a non capital 'e' in the second word)

Also the line 'Aansprakelijkheid Schadevergoeding En Verzekering' was entered as ' 'Aansprakelijkheid, Schadevergoeding en Verzekering' (note a comma after the first word and the non-capital e in 'en')

This also happens on sites with the standard elemental theme.

Unfortunately after doing some research it looks like these are auto-capitalized and there isn't much a person can do about it. If you go back to /dashboard/system/attributes/topics in your site in the list I think they will show up capitalized there too.

Since this doesn't appear to be a bug, I think it might be an appropriate situation for making a GitHub issue (feature idea) for case sensitive topics.

Topics are definitely not capitalized by default, as you can see by the attached files (which show the topics in the tree in the Dashboard, as well as the topics on the front-end of the site.)

If you're referring to the tags attribute, those aren't auto-capitlized either (see the screenshot attached.)

It's very possible that a custom template or custom CSS in your theme is making the topics capitalized, however. Many themes use text-transform: uppercase in their CSS to do something like this.

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for looking into this. But I see this issue also on fresh install without any theme or add-on installed. This is not a css thing, the terms also show like this in the dashboard after entering them without the capitals. I don't know about the tags, but i see tis in the topic trees.

i don't mean all of the text is transformed in capitals, just all the first characters of each word are getting capitalized. For example "Fresh food" becomes "Fresh Food".

Hah. Wow. I stand corrected – you are right. We will look into this and fix that in time for the official release of 5.7.5.
