upgrade from 5.7.0.1 to 5.7.0.3

Apologies if this is a stupid question I'm new to Concrete5.

I there is simple way to upgrade to the latest version of 5.7 from 5.7.0.1 if you already started building your website? I've tried to install the latest version in the upgrade folder but the CMS doesn't recognise anything. Do i need to make a clean instal and start over again with the build?

Hi, simply extract the downloaded zip file.

I got a folder "concrete5.7.0.2" which i moved to <concreteroot>/updates. Then I was able to upgrade through the Dashboard/System and Settings/Update concrete5.

We use to be able to replace the concrete folder with the new folder and run the upgrade command by url: index.php/tools/required/upgrade. I prefered doing it that way so I didn't have tons of files in the update directory.

The command line doesn't work anymore, so I don't know that it is safe way to do it other than using the update directory. Anyone know?

I moved the unzipped folder to the update folder and used the update command and it worked fine for me, just as Core77 suggested

Yes, that should work. There was a bug in 5.7.0 and 5.7.0.1 that may make this appear to not work in 5.7.0.3, but it should work going forward (the database version wasn't getting properly set at install time.)

Does that command work via CLI? I'm trying to find a way to run upgrades via command line. Thanks!
