Upgrading a package
Permalink
How does an 'editor' upgrade a package without uninstalling it first? I've tried adding the package to the updates folder, but no go. I've tried renaming the current package to something else, then adding the updated package to the /packages folder. This causes concrete to say "Updates are available for addons". When I click update, it shows me the new package info, but after selecting upgrade, nothing happens.
So what is the correct procedure for an 'editor' to upgrade a package?

Well, it was ProEvents, but it seems the add-on isn't even showing up on the marketplace anymore. It had some security issues that needed patching. I downloaded the patch before they removed the addon, but I'm having trouble applying the patch.
mmm...those were all patched yesterday. So they should not be removed at this point.
So the reason it wasn't upgrading is because the concrete version was too low. But theres not error for that, it just brings you back to update screen like nothing happened. Once upgrading the concrete version, the patch applies itself just fin.e
I did notice this. The version number is in fact upped and correct. Beyond the package simply articulating the version number, the core should handle the versioning. This sounds like a core bug.
What package is it?
As for manually upgrading it, you can follow the same instructions as manual installation:
