User Permissions

Permalink
Hello

I'm very sorry to push this problem again but I really don't know what it's the relation between making a new Theme and lose the permissions for new users and permissions to edit GlobalAreas. What I mean, if I use the Core Elemental Theme everything fine. If I make a new Theme and install successfully. I can only edit the GlobalAreas inside the Home page, in other pages I can Edit the GlobalAreas but can not add nothing, and If I add new User, this user belongs to Admin Group but I got error saying that he haven't permissions to Add New Page, the only thing that he can do is edit the content that was entered previously by the Admin.

I already tested in LAMP, LEMP and WAMP. All have the same problem.
If it's not possible to add users, I really like the edition capacities but this will not have any use for my projects.

Thank you again and please, any help it's welcome.

I believe we have fixed the error that you're posting about – it occurs when an area named Main isn't present in the page. This shouldn't be the case but I believe a quick fix would be to make sure that your main content area on the page template is named Main.

This is fixed in github and will be released in 5.7.2.1.

Thank you very much Andrew, it's always nice to read your explanations, I will try include the "Main" in my projects and has you mentioned in other post of mine, this is a good practice, so I will follow.

Thank you very much Andrew.

Well Andrew, I just created a dummy Main area in all my php template files:

<?php
$a = new Area('Main');
$a->display($c);
?>

And that solved immediately the Global Areas problem, now I can change and add any content block in this areas.
But I have no idea why when I try edit or just navigate with other user log in, I'm automatically log out without any error information.
If I'm not log out I can edit any page made by the admin user and edit or add any block to Global Areas but don't have permissions to add pages.

Something that I'm missing and must be present in this files? I already add new user to admin Group and happened the same.

Thank you.

No idea, what to do anymore!
No way that a new User that Belong to Administrators Group can add any page, but WHY?

Always the same:
You do not have permission to publish a page in this location.

Already add the Area the <main>... tried add everything that other pages have but no way to make this work.

Any idea please, I'm almost with 2 weeks around the same problem.
Already made a package following the new videos posted in YouTube by Concrete5, everything works well but no new Users Allowed.
Please, anyone.

This can not go more crazy, now I added a New Page Type, with the built in Admin User I can Add New Page to Home Location. I have two Page Types but If I go to Home I Can Add one Page Type, If I go to NewPage I can choose between the two Page Types. I added New Page Type, Next I add new page, If I navigate to this new page I can choose between 3 page types, but If I navigate to Home I can only choose one Page Type...

Thank you very much.
