Using built in Zend Translate / Gettext on pages and in templates in 5.7

Hi, I have a multi lingual website I'm working on that has 4 languages. The multilingual setup is all fine and I managed to create language specific global areas.

What I'm wondering is if there's a way to generate .po files for certain portions of templates which are static text and load the built in Zend Translate to make use of them?

Yes, this is absolutely possible. If you go into Dashboard > System & Settings > Translate > Translate Site Interface you can generate a list of all the strings that have been wrapped in the t() function in your theme and block templates. A translation editor lets you translate those strings, and when you're done, you can export them to .po/.mo files, which will automatically be read by concrete5 and translate your site interface.
