Block Load Order

I have a page where two content blocks load immediately and then shift right after the slideshow block loads. No one has complained about this yet, but it looks awkward. Is there a way to set an order for the blocks to load? Believe it or not, I have actually looking throughout the forums and I haven't seen an answer. Maybe I have missed something. Here's the site:

The problem may be because the image in the slideshow loads after the html, and the browser doesn't know its size until the image shows.

You could try setting a width & height for the slideshow using block design. that way the browser will reserve a fixed amount of space ready for the image.
