Seeing as there are so many designers here, I figure there must be several that use CM for their client's mailing app. (and I'm sure, by now, you've heard the über good news that just came out there!)
Any chance someone would look at their API and see if we can fully integrate it with c5?

http://bit.ly/bBZhnT (Unlimited sending subscription-based model) Clients have been balking at the service offering, since MailChimp, Constant Contact, et. al. all have a subscription model.
Here is what would be ideal:
1. Add a sign up form (that would send the newsletter sign-up info to CM)
2. Manage sending campaigns by doing the following:
• Select subscriber list and select a campaign, or create new ones (I suppose we need the ability to manage them, too... hmmmm)
• Add "articles" and send a truncated version of that information to CM with a link to the full article (see next point)
• Create a new PAGE in C5 with the full text of the article and generate a link that will be used to read the "full article" online (that is sent to CM with the snippet)
• Finally, click "send" which will trigger CM to start the send process.
If any of that is ridiculously difficult, ideally we could cut some corners here and there!
Let me know your thoughts!

Here are different plugins for various other cms/frameworks, for CM integration:

Thanks, that's quite useful to see what others are doing...
Have you seen my post on the Project Management thread? Which would you rather prioritize, CM or PM??

I did see that... and sent you a pm about it. I would put CM before PM, since there is an API already in existence, with pretty much all the functions mentioned here! I think that it would be a slamdunk project... also, it will give Concrete5 the MUCH needed exposure on that site I linked above!! (Although, I would prioritize getting a site up and running to discuss needs, etc. for PM, just so it is out there and hopefully getting some attention while we're working elsewhere.)
Hi, Jon
Just curious if you've been working on this, and if, perhaps, you would like some assistance?

We are working on some basic CM integration - developed a small block that enables email newsletter sign ups... Any demand for said block if we were to go through the approval process?
I s'pose there might be the tiniest bit of interest. A more robust, full-featured one, as mentioned earlier, would likely be a far more desired one though!
I have used CM in the past and was looking to use them again in the future, so an integration of some kind could be useful.
Have you got any thoughts on what and how you would want to integrate??
