I would think this is something simple for someone that knows how to code.
Basically, I would like to start a mailing list for people interested in my product. I would like to put something up on the site where they can subscribe that they want future announcements. An email is sent to them to confirm and away we go.
Is there something like this available? Thanks in advance.

This does everything you want except send the new mailing list recipient a confirmation email. But that's pretty easy and I think you could figure out how to do that....
