Dropdown Filter of Custom Page Attribute

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know the best way to include an on-page dropdown which can be used to filter a page list in v8?

E.g. I would like to pick from a dropdown containing 'manufacturers' and filter a page list containing boats.

Even better would be the option to do this using Ajax?

Any help is much appreciated!
