The closest I've heard so far ishttp://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/block_requests/blocks-for...

However, there isn't any code released from that project yet as far as I know.

Cheers

I've been meaning to build one, but never start because "lookstechnical" always seems to be about a week from finishing. :)

I've got some downtime, so might be willing to put something together.

Did you have any specific requirements?

I'm thinking an admin section to post jobs, a block to list jobs, a page for more detail, and a form to upload a CV?

I think my initial thoughts are pretty basic.

1. Recruiters can post positions by function (dropdown), location (dropdown) and Type (Temp, Perm, Temp) once again a dropdown,

2. Jobs can be listed by type, location, function.

3. Applicants can create a profile and search for positions that fit keywords in the profile they create. They also would upload the CV.

4. Only recruiters can see CV.

5. Job stats box - that shows # of positions etc.

I've been chatting with the guy that created the real estate listing module because I think some of the backend principles are the same. Essentially it is an inventory system in this case of job listings.

I'm starting a job board for those of us over 40 that have been crushed by the downtown in the economy. I'm not employed any longer, lost my house to the bank and fortunately have a wife that barely makes enough to support us. I know the pain first hand and want to help others in the same boat. I am not a coder but do have audio / video skills and have created a series of video's to help those in need with advice on how to move forward.

Just my thoughts,

For anybody following this thread, but not the "other" one, I just posted my first pass at a package for this (this being a job posting "app").
