Galleria block with image description list

Hey,

Does anyone made a template for Galleria block where list of image description is displayed instead of thumbnails?

Or may be somebody can give me advise how to do that.

Thanks a lot guys!

I'm not entirely sure I understand what you are looking for. Do you want galleria to actually replace the thumbnails with the image information or function like ProPhotohttp://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/prophoto/... where both image information as well as thumbmails are available?

From what I've seen there is nothing available currently for free which will do it. I took a look at the code for Galleria last night, and it is possible to make it do it, it isn't as simple as making a one or two line change however. There needs to be DB changes to the schema unless there is some way to do it through attributes? I don't believe a template will work for it, I'm also pretty new to C5 so I could be wrong.

Have you tried contacting the original author to see if it is something they would consider including as a functionality? Maybe a show image details or thumbnails option when the image is active. I assume the thumbnail is supposed to be there until the image is active, but once you select it you want the thumbnail to be replaced with the image details, or would you prefer to have the image details show up in a mouseover like the current title does? The more detail you can give about what you want it to do the better.

Hi Guntars,

From the image it appears you want the descriptions of the images to appear and no thumbnails at all? I assume you would then select the description to activate the image? Do you want the description to be next to the image as in your example or underneath?

I think I might be a little confused now. Galleria has the thumbnails underneath the active image so you can select whatever one you want. Do you still want that there? I've attached some photos. The first one is my perception of Galleria (I don't use it), the next one (galleryexample) is a mix of the image you posted and the first image I posted, the other two are just other possibilities. Would you please take a look and let me know if any of them are close to what you're asking for.

As an aside the description/title section when you are adding the photo into Galleria will accept a decent number of characters, you could populate that and have it show up on mouseover of the thumb. Might take a little finessing to get the formatting the way you want it though.
