Galleria is messed up-- SOLVED

Not sure why, but I can't get this to work. I was able to get "basic_test" block to work in the tutorial and I initially followed the same procedure:

• I downloaded the file
• unzipped it
• uploaded it into the blocks director where basic_test was uploaded

When I went to Add Functionality, nothing was there.

So, I read the instructions more carefully and saw that there's an alternate way to do it by clicking Save For Later, logging into the Marketplace through Dashboard, etc.

I did this method instead, saw that it was now "READY FOR DOWNLOAD" and clicked the DOWNLOAD button...

And I got the following error message:

" The following errors occurred when attempting to process your request:

* There was an error unpacking your add-on or theme. Perhaps you have not uploaded a valid zip file, or you do not have zip installed."

------

There is nothing wrong with my server. It definitely has zip installed. I am guessing this got messed up because I already uploaded the file to the blocks directory. I've since deleted it from the blocks directory but it's still not working.

So... any idea how I can install this? Why wouldn't it find the item in the first place when I uploaded it to "blocks?"

firstly, this is the wrong place to be posting this. if you're having trouble with installing packages, then use the "editing" or "building" forums. if it's an error with a specific package, then use that packages support forum.

but it sounds like you're installing the package wrong. don't upload it to the blocks directory. just unzip it in the packages directory, and don't move any of the folders around.

thank you so much! worked perfectly! not sure why the automated method didn't work, but doesn't matter. Now I know how to do it the manual way (didn't realize it was a package)... thanks!
