Global Areas Not Showing Up

ok, Im running off of default.php
I added site logo, and header nav, which appear globally on all page types... EXCEPT the one page type I created that I'm using for the majority of pages for the site.
I've tried clearing cache, refreshing, holding garlic above my head and spinning around.
I'm stumped, what am I missing?
