Ideas for this...

Hello!

I have a section where i need to add names, say like tags. Each tag has a short description that i would like to have it viewed when clicked on it as a pop-up (i found nice Jquery simple modal for this) or something. Actually i was wondering if there could be there some add-on that helps me on this, or if anyone has a better idea for having this done... I'm a little lost.

sounds like you could use the page list block for the item list, maybe with a custom template if you need it styled differently. Create a bunch of separate pages for each of your items, with both area content and page descriptions, then you could use the popup block (on the page with the page list) to point to the main area for each of those pages:
