Image Menu / Grid Block with Hyperlinks - can help with dev costs.

Hi There - I have a clear idea of a block I would like / need. I suggest it may be a good block for the marketplace and so would be interested if someone is interested on working on it on coming up with some dev fee / split on costs where you retain the IP and can sell through the marketplace and I get the block I am after?

PROPOSED FUCNTIONALITY

In general it is to be an image grid, within a table, with a javascript image rollover effect. A user would select an image from the file manager for the table cell. Images could then be hyperlinked to existing C5 pages, or external URLS, an image (within a lightbox), or remain unlinked.

HOW WOULD IT WORK?

THE BACKEND - I envisage a tabular setup adding images into each table cell, with corresponding links. It would be a table where you set the cell width and height, then insert the required image - I think to that end its actually fairly simple.

THE USER PROCESS

- add block
- how many rows
- how many columns
- column & row width
LOOP
- choose image 1 - add ALT / TITLE Tag, or checkbox "leave empty".
- choose image 1 rollover effect - either displays another image or display CAPTION
- choose image 1 link, either C5 page, external URL, or lightbox overlay.
- repeat process for each cell
LOOP

If I knew php I would do this myself as I have a clear idea of how it would work and whilst I can do it with the custom block sort of, it wouldnt be what I was after exactly I dont think.

Would anyone be interested in this and if so let me know what sort of cost would be involved?

Cheers

Thanks for both of those - both very viable. Bought the dojo to have a look. Can't work out where I'd get the premium reposta or is it still in Beta?

Thanks guys.
