you can create custom block Templates for the Image block that contains the 3 alignment options. 1 template for each one.

I agree that it would be nice to have that option built into the block but for now you can still accomplish the desired effect.

I have the same problem with aligning images. Workaround: If you place a table in the content block and then add your image you can control the image by controlling the table I.E. Left, Center or Right justification. Also by telling the table to adjust to 98% of the page it allows a little more control. However, I am not sure what the effects are if you change the theme to another one and whether the coding and the image will transfer to the new theme or not. ANyone else have a idea how to control images without having to create custom blocks.

Jeez, that was about 5 years ago ^^! Sorry to say, I don't have the patch anymore.

We're using since its release the block design function to align images (text-align function) ;-).
