I have been working with C5 for a while so think I have a good handle on using it. However, even though I have performed one modification in terms of a custom template I am a novice when it comes to code.

I want to begin to modify basic templates (blocks) to suit personal needs. I need to know, in an easy to understand way where I can go to redirect the link "download original file" in, say the gallery block "gallerific" from the file linked to the thumb to a much larger and high res file. The rationale as I see it is if I link the thumb to a high res file directly it will take the blocks too long for a user to load. Can I link to a separate page or directory where the high res file is kept?

This is the starting point of my question. Any takers?
