Page List with Thumbmails to the side
Permalink
Hi there
I have a page called "News" which displays the block pagelist in desc order showing a link to all the available news.
Is it possible to have a thumbnail displayed next to the news title in the link. Something like this:
thumbnail-Title of news item (links to the detailed news)
Thanks in advance

extract the contents to blocks/
create a page attribute called "thumbnail", select the file/image option. this is found under dashboard/themes/page types or somewhere there.. and go the page you want, edit properties, custom page attributes and add the thumbnail attribute, select the image you want to use.
after doing this, you need to add the page list to the page you want to be shown-- i mean the list with the thumbnail-- so you need to go and it to a block on that page click then the custom template for the page list block, select the thumbnail ( I have more than one custom template for that) and thats it.
if you want to change the html/css stuff, visit the thumbnail.php under blocks/page_list/templates/ and change it to the appearance you want.
Sorry if I dont respond to later on requests, I am busy. :)

I should clarify, SN could have thumbnails per category type templated in easily, but not content news "photo" per se.
I certainly could code that in as a separate project though - for the the add_news to have an image option, and the list_news to have a "show image" option. pm me for quote on that.

what about thishttp://www.codeblog.ch/2009/03/concrete5-templates/2/... ?
There are several templates in the tutorial, the c5 api changed a bit - you probably have to use the one at the bottom

Are you aware of a way to display different thumbnails according to each entry?. In my templates, each thumbnail is realated to the content of the news item.
Thanks
