Registration for newsletter + export

Hi guys and gals,

First off, Seasons greetings to everyone here.

Secondly, I was just wondering if anyone has made a "register for our newsletter" block at all? I have been scanning over the forums and can't find much on the subject but it seems to be a pretty common need for many websites.

If there isn't one directly available as a block, I was wondering if there are any other ways of introducing this feature into my sites?

Be warned, I am pretty new to PHP so please be gentle. :-)

Any help on this mater would be hugely appreciated.

Richard.

You could just use the form block. Create a field for name and e-mail and that should be it. You can export it from "Reports" in the back end.

i've been working on a mailing list package, which handles mailing list subscriptions and the send process, but you can export the email list too. it's been submitted to the marketplace review process, and hopefully should be approved here in the next few days.

(btw, the screenshots on that link are a little outdated, like it doesn't show the new HTML email functionality)

Both of these options are perfect... I love the sound of the mailing list block as it will simplify things for the client.

Any thoughts on the price as yet?

Thank you so much for the replies, very much appreciated.
