RSS get_date to dispaly time

Hey

in the file view.php in the conrete>blocks>rss_displayer

their is this code 
<?php echo  $item->get_date('F jS'); ?>


how do i get that damn thing to display time and date...?

and how can i translate the date and time into european standard. becaus we don use PM and AM
