did you run the page index job?

Just a FYI...I am a little new to Concrete5 :)

Here are the steps I've done so far:

1) Cleared search index (see screenshot attached)
2) Ran automated page jobs (see screenshot attached)

Any other suggestions?

ok - I went to the website to run a couple of sample searches and it looks very much to me that you are plugging in some kind of search facility powered by coldfusion. If this is what isn't working that would appear to be outside of C5.

I might be incorrect - so ignore if wrong.

When you run the jobs for the search index they index the various content either that you whitelist or that you don't blacklist - depending on how you've set it.

If you set it to blacklist and don't check any boxes then it 'should' index everything.

However - there is a big caveat: it won't add anything to the search index that is inside a global area or a stack (this is logged as a bug for both legacy C5 and the current 5.7 version).

So, if you are searching for phrases that appear only in stacks then you might get the impression that search is not working.

Does that make sense at all?

I think so.

Basically, my version of 5.7 Concrete5 is causing the bug to happen.

I am not blacklisting anything but that's a problem because globally it is not supposed to index anything...am I on the right track of what is going on?
