Sidescrolling Jquery PageList or Events list (for proevents)

Hello gang, I have been looking through the marketplace and I do not see a add-on like this yet. I would like a pagelist that scrolls side to side, mainly I would be using it similar to how this site is using theirs...

http://www.nyc-arts.org (I realize their's is flash but just for example...)

To display events using Chad's proEvents addon. So a extra bonus if it integrates nicely with that, otherwise I know just enough PHP to be dangerous and could probably figure out how to call all the events details I need to a custom block.

If this exists in the market place already and I am somehow missing it than please point it out to me. Or perhaps there is something I can cannibalize and create what I'm looking for and you could point that out to me as well. Or hey, if you're feeling creative, make one for the marketplace and I'll buy it.

Thanks!

This might not quite be what you are looking for, but have you tried an image slider and then hyperlinking the images to different pages, or placing words within the images. Here are a couple of slider ad ons.

Well I ended up hacking together the jquery plugin easyslider1.7 and the standard Events list block and had quite the success in doing so. Thank you for the suggestions because it actually got me thinking, why not just go grab a jquery plugin I like and know works well and just try to get it going first. Thanks!

Site is a long ways from being public. Instead, how about I attach the custom block in a zip here. Warning, it is a bit of a hack job so there's probably some unnecessary graphics and styles still floating about in there... if you feel like you want to use it, I'll look forward to a cleaned up version in your next update haha...

yeah man. thanks. I'll look at it and see if I can clean it up. I'll put rights notice in the view for you if I do that.
