What happened to the Syntax Highlighter block?

What ever happened to the "Syntax Highlighter" block? I used it in 5.3.2 to insert programming code in my articles.

I can't find it in the marketplace anymore (Jan 2010) and thus probably won't be able to update it in my move to 5.3.3.1 of concrete5 that I am planning. How am I supposed to upgrade concrete5 now?

The closest thing now is something called "Code Blocks"
http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/code-blocks/...
which costs $15 (the old plugin was free). Even if I wanted to pay, I'm not sure how to convert from using one plugin to using another.

What a mess.

Thanks Remo, the free Syntax Highlighter block is now back and appearing in the marketplace (it wasn't yesterday). Yey!

Note that the description of the block within Concrete5 is "Syntax Highlighter" and the package directory name is "syntax_highlighter" whereas the name of the block in the marketplace is "Highlighted Code Block" - a little inconsistent/confusing.

Anyway, there seem to have been no changes since I installed it for 5.3.2 so I'll now go ahead and upgrade my site to 5.3.3.1 and hopefully the Syntax Highlighter/Highlighted Code Block should cope.

P.S. Thanks Kino for your similar block. It seems to have different source code, I haven't tried it - why not put it in the marketplace too?

P.S. Thanks to elyon for a message explaining that "Code Blocks" addon I referred to in my original post is not a syntax highlighting tool as such (though it does do syntax highlighting). "Code Blocks" is for inserting functional code into a web page.

Whereas what I was after was merely displaying code fragments on a web page, with syntax highlighting, in order to discuss and show how code works etc. And this is what the Syntax Highlighter/Highlighted Code Block addon does nicely.

P.S. elyon also usefully said: "Based on my understanding of the differences between 5.3.2 and 5.3.3.1, my guess also is that the add-on will continue to work fine after you upgrade ... just remember to upgrade to 5.3.3 before you upgrade to 5.3.3.1.". Wow - I was going to upgrade from 5.3.2 straight to 5.3.3.1, so lucky I read/got this tip.

Yep. And this has brought down my site.

I just created a page and added the syntax highlighting block - only to get an error 'service unavailable'. I am a few versions of concrete5 behind but still - this shouldn't happen!?

My new page is stuck in some weird mode and the whole of my website is now broken and won't respond. HELP!

Actually my site recovered a few minutes later. Not touching the highlighter component for now... !
