Masonry, when it comes to web design, is a special layout effect powered by jquery. It is called 'Masonry' because it makes your page look like different sized bricks on a wall.

Although at first glance it may seem like a not-so-ideal layout solution, it is really quite dynamic, innovative, and forward-thinking!

Web pages are laid out by divs and CSS. Masonry adds some cool layout "flair"! Lemme explain. Traditionally, web pages generally have "columns" which are made up of divs. There's generally three columns, two columns, left / right sidebar, things like that. Common stuff, really. Masonry... now THAT is where things get interesting!

Masonry gets rid of the "boring" traditional layout, and simply arranges the divs into a "best fit" arrangement! This, then, creates a layout that reflects that of a masonry-like "brick wall"!
