A few problems with a site after moving to another server - TWICE

Hi Everyone.
Looking for a bit of advice. I've moved a site from a shared host to a VPS and then back to another Shared host which has been set up to run Concrete 5 & is as fast as the VPS.
I have a couple of small issues with the Captcha, which I've posted about already and have Jesse from Full Flavour (the hosting co.) looking at but I'm wondering should I just make a back-up of my DB, delete everything except my config, files & packages folder & re-upload a clean installation of C5.
There were small changes made in places when the site was moved to the VPS by someone else as I was on holidays and now that I have the site back I'm wondering would the clean copy of C5 do the trick for us?
