Hi C5 crew,
Had an idea that would be really helpful (and probably easy to make a reality) for the marketplace.
More and more of the sites that I am building these days are "responsive designs" - however figuring out which add-ons are going to work properly in the responsive environment is sometimes difficult.
It would be very cool to have some sort of designation for add-ons (and themes now that I think about it) that are built to be friendly to responsive designs.
Having this designation available might also nudge developers toward building their add-ons this way, since more and more clients are demanding mobile friendly websites.

I agree this would be a good option to have for the add-ons part of the marketplace. I have several marketplace themes that are responsive, and I happen to have a social media add-on that is responsive (called Social Feed). I'm working on yet another that will also be responsive.
'Responsive' would be relevant for some addons, but completely irrelevant for others.
To some potential buyers, 'Responsive' could be a big marketing discriminator. Could it negatively impact addons that it is not shown for simply because it is irrelevant?

I don't think that it should be a negative. If the add-on doesn't need to be responsive to work on a responsive website - then as far as I am concerned it wouldn't be applicable and could either be marked as responsive compatible, or as NA.
For someone who is building a lot of these sites, currently it is a bit of a crap-shoot as to how a given add on is going to behave.

You raise a good point. To work fairly it needs a 3-state note by an addon. Responsive, Not responsive, and Not applicable. The current market place categorisation is 2-state.
about adding it for add-ons.
