a new block: choose your time zone

I would enjoy a new block that would enable us to choose the time zone for my website.

Going into the files and changing code is more complicated.

Is time zone not available as a setting somewhere in the C5 admin? Where do you change it in the code?

I don't know how to change the code. I glanced at another post which talked about changing the code in the file, in order to change the time zone of the website.

I cannot currently change the time zone of my website, and that includes the blog pages.

I live in Taiwan, 13 hours ahead of friends in the USA. When I do their blog post on Sunday, the blog date shows as Saturday. I want the blog entry date to be Sunday, not Saturday.

If you go to Dashboard->System & settings there is and option called "Enable user defined time zones" under the Basics section. Would that do the trick for you?

THANKS for that great idea!

I just now went and did it. I went to dashboard, then systems & settings, then clicked "defined time zones".

Doing that did not change the date of the previous blogs.

However, next week when I do a blog, I hope it will show my date (Sunday) instead of the USA date (Saturday) which is one day behind.

I made a new blog entry. I am 13 hours ahead, so my date is the 24th. But the blog entry date is the 23rd.

Did you change your timezone preference in your profile page?

No, I did not. I don't know how and don't know what you are referring to. What do you suggest?

I looked all around my profile at Concrete5, and did not see an option to do that.

Then I looked all around my website, and did not see any option about my "profile" there. Inside the website, there is a "user" (me), but I have no profile.

The time zone situation is not a serious problem, about the date. I can always update it each Monday, and then the blog date would be on Sunday.
