Ever since Easy Weather stopped workinghttps://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/easy-weather1/support/a... I've been looking for a simple weather block. But I did not succeed to find any so finally I chose to get my feet wet and develop a package myself.

Shouldn't defunct addons be removed from the marketplace? I think they give concrete5 a bad name.

You could use a weather RSS feed and an RSS display block (or my Universal Content Puller) to show it.
Universal Content Puller sure looks like a very capable block and would do the job. But it may be over the top for what I need. And I got it working 🙃

Definitely agree on a bit more natural selection in the marketplace. Hopefully the coming marketplace redesign will provide mechanisms to facilitate that beyond leaving 1* reviews.
