The first step to earning karma here on concrete5.org is answering questions here in the forum. Users can select your answer as "best answer" and you're then on your way to being a community leader!!

And if you start a helpful thread users can select it as helpful, as I did with this thread, and you get 50 karma!

I beg to differ with enlil but I think the first steps to becoming a 'Community Leader' is to learn as much as possible about how concrete5 works so you can add quality answers to the forum questions.

If you don't have very much experience with concrete5 then I think the best thing for you to do would be to read, read, read and build, build, build until you have the knowledge required.

I guess my point is that seeking Karma is not the point. Karma is the result of helping others with thoughtful, researched answers. Karma is a natural consequence of helping others and has no value in and of itself. There are lots of ways to 'game' the Karma machine which don't result in better support in the forums.

So I had to make a choice about the best answer. And both are good. I prefer personely the mhawke's answer because it is more conceptual, but the base answer for me, in regard of my newbee's status was entil's one. so...

This is difficult to make one choice. It would be more fair to accept 2 or 3 best answer in the system ?

All in all, Concrete5 is one of the greatest things I have ever stumbled upon, and will be for a long, long time!! I enjoy what I do with this platform, and my involvement in the community. Karma or not. The bulk of what I know about C5 has been absorbed from right here in the forums, and by searching the rest of concrete5.org!
