ACL control?

Hello,

I have been reading about C5 lately and am curious about the ACL control.

If I am to try C5, I want to know what features this CMS has regarding ACL control for creating custom users/groups and can I apply permissions to restrict/allow content to be viewed.

Since C5 was based around hacking Mambo which really has no ACL, I am worried that this may not work.

Joomla 1.5 is still operating under the same restrictions Mambo had unless I install JUGA or a CCK to handle this. While Joomla 1.6 has solved this problem, a stable release is probably not due till later this year.

While I see alot of positive reviews, I am still uncertain how this product is gonna do me justice.

I am quite comfortable programming and Drupal/Joomla dont scare me at all so the "ease of use and updating for designers" doesn't apply to me.

Also, I need to know that I can easily bridge C5 to other things like phpbb3 and also integrate facebook login etc. While it is easy to do the facebook like this and other things, I want to know that C5 allows me to use facebook login to import user info, images, etc into the C5 database.

Thanks for your time.

I think this thread answered my question well enough to give it a go.

I would still like to know about facebook login etc.

I will be asking people at the NYC Joomla users Group what they think as well.

Another great platform is all I need now when the good weather has arrived.

Can you say hermit in Summer 2010? LOL.
