Add on updates constantly notifies

I am constantly receiving notifications that I have updates to 3 add-ons. I have clicked "download and install" multiple times and the theme I am using displays it can't be found anymore and the other two display installed successfully but constantly notify me on the summary that updates are available.

I am using concrete5 on a dreamhost server and since the recent update of cc5, there are things like the menu selections on the dashboard relocating when I hover a selection among others.

What am I doing wrong.

Thanks, love the CMS otherwise.

What are the addons?

Sometimes an addon has the version number set incorrectly, which makes it do this. The version number in the addon package controller.php should match the version number that you see on its C5 page. If the 2 don't match, then the update page goes in circles trying to make them match.

The best solution is to notify the developer and get them to release a new version with all numbers matching.

With some old addons, they have been 'abandoned' by the developer, so if you don't hear back from the developer you can contact C5 support and let them know.

Thanks John for the quick response.

I have since uninstalled them, but one of them was PageEar. The theme I'm using is Rock Kitty Halloween and I changed one of the background pictures though I didn't rename it, I kept it the same, it states it cannot find it on concrete5.org.

Referring to the controller.php file makes perfect sense.

I will do as suggested and contact the developer.

Again, thanks for the quick response.
