Adding content to new page

I have a trial site. I tried starting a new page. When I click on add to main just to add text, I don't see how to do it. I tried to click on add a block and then on content. I just get a big empty space with no way to type anything. I feel a bit dumb. Thanks.

you should be able to click on that space and edit it from there.

try seeing up a new trial, i just made one and everything works fine

Are you using version 5.4.1.1?

No clue. I set up the trial last week.
