adding pings

Dashboard -> Maintenance -> Scheduled Jobs shows two installed jobs. How to add other jobs, such as Technorati ping? Technorati shows the PHP code in their references, but, how to include that code in C5?

...you can also ping the search engines to request they index your page. i haven't done much with this before, but check out the event system. there should be a page load event that you can tie into pretty easily.
